What does it mean for the day to dawn? 2 Peter 1: 19 (KJV), ‘We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts.

So you’re praying for let’s say healing from cancer and you really aren’t sure if God can heal you but you’re willing to give it a shot. You may start out with unbelief. But as you hold on to that scripture that says your healing is sure because by the stripes of Jesus, you were healed. There’s a move in the spirit and your mind begins to get reconditioned and you start accepting that you have been healed. Then one day, you know you’re absolutely healed. The prayer has been answered, but on the outside everything remains the same. It is then you enter into praising God and rejoicing waiting for the manifestation.

Just the same way night doesn’t just become day, it’s a gradual process. Watching the sun rise into a place where there was total darkness. Then the sun rays begin to creep in little by little, till finally it’s all bright. When the light is creeping into our prayers, we have to keep praying. This is not when we stop. Until, the sun is completely risen and we can see without a shadow of doubt, we must keep praying.

When God cursed the fig tree to wither in Mark 11: 12 – 14, it didn’t wither immediately. Then look what he says in verses 22 – 25 (MSG) after noticing that the tree had withered, ‘Jesus was matter-of-fact: “Embrace this God-life. Really embrace it, and nothing will be too much for you. This mountain, for instance: Just say, ‘Go jump in the lake’—no shuffling or shilly-shallying—and it’s as good as done. That’s why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you’ll get God’s everything. And when you assume the posture of prayer, remember that it’s not all asking. If you have anything against someone, forgive—only then will your heavenly Father be inclined to also wipe your slate clean of sins.”

All we have to do really is pray for everything until we see the manifestation of our prayers.
