Dead Faith

The Spirit of God is indeed one. There’s is no variableness or shadow of turning. One sure way to led by God is confirmation. So you’re probably doing something for God and then somebody that has never met you before, mentions the same thing to you and you’re like, God is indeed great. If you’ve never experienced this before, then you must be sleeping on a spiritual bicycle.

Yesterday, we spoke about being an experienced Christian and not just a knowledgeable one. This fact cannot be over emphasized. Even if you went to the best theology schools, all they teach is the plain Word, they don’t help teach you faith or even help your faith grow. Even Ph.D. in religious studies is nothing but an academic exercise.

The Bible in James 2: 26 says, ‘For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also’. If the spirit is that determines whether or not the body is alive, then it is the same way that our works determine whether or not our faith is alive. Your spirit is the locomotive of your body. Your works is the locomotive of your faith. Simple. Show me your works and I know what level of faith you’re operating under.

The truth is that your level of faith determines your level of other spiritual blessings. Your level of faith determines your level of grace and favour amongst others. In 1 Samuel 17: 40 – 45, David came against Goliath in the Name of the Lord. But, did he stop there? No! A lot of us when we bind the devil all we do is physically say it. We don’t take further steps to actually finish him off and knock him out. Let’s use the stones that David picked as verses of scripture. So he picked 5. Even if the first one failed, he had 4 other attack strategies. But here’s the thing about the Word of God, it doesn’t fail.

Put your back into your faith today. Take some action. Let the world see your works.
