Depend on Your Spirit

Mark 11: 23 – 14, ‘ For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, what things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them’.

We sometimes think about seemingly impossible things because God’s Spirit is in our own spirits. So, we get one of such ideas and we’re like, ‘Lol! I think of the most impossible things’. This is our mind talking. But our spirits are exposed to knowledge that is impossible for the mind to easily accept.

A lot of the time, after failing to get the solution to our problems from man, we turn to God. What we fail to realise is that we could just have gone to God first. God should be first resort. Not second and definitely not last. However, sometimes, we go through the long process just to grasp the fact that only God can help us. If there is help for us anywhere, it’s in the Bible, the very Word of God to us.

Recounting how he was able to get healed, Bro. Kenneth recalls reading James 5: 14 – 15. Is anyone sick among you, let him call the elders of the church. This posed a problem as the so-called elders did not exactly believe in divine healing. But further down, it says, the prayer of faith shall save the sick. We don’t necessarily need other people to pray for us, because we are saved by grace through faith.

This faith comes through our spirits. Your faith will not work to the fullest until you learn to depend on Him; the one who is in you. Learn to develop your own spirits. Have faith in the fact that your faith in God works.
