Isaiah 40: 28 – 31,

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Whatever you are going through, no matter how reliable and well connected the person you’re relying on is, there really is no one more connected and reliable as your heavenly father.

We don’t have God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit for nothing. This 3 personalities are supposed to help us in our Christian walk. You cannot experience God in this three ways and you won’t know that relying on man is just absurd. Man may be the vessel, but you have direct access to the person issuing the orders.

For example, if you were a character in Despicable Me and you wanted something to be done, you won’t meet a minion. You’ll meet Gru himself. The minions are the vessels but Gru is the commander. Just the same way; humans are the vessels, but God is the commander.

The Bible says, they that wait upon the Lord. Not those that give God deadlines before they take matters into their own hands (myself inclusive). Not those that threaten God. Those that wait.

What does waiting entail? The Bible said in Exodus 14:13, Be still and see the salvation which I shall show to you this day. Waiting can be equated to being still.
