Psalm 100: 4, ‘Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
The importance of thanksgiving cannot be over- emphasized. The Bible clearly says it, that’s the only thing God’s gateman understands. Not only does thanksgiving bring you to God’s compound, it also has a lot of other benefits.
It moves God to help us open other gates. If you want to open any gates, all you need to do is come with thanksgiving. Although this should ordinarily be a work over. The devil has made it such that most people do not see any reason to thank God. Because we can’t get past our place of lack or sorrow or resentment, thanksgiving then becomes a herculean task for us. Thereby allowing the devil to continually successfully steal our joy.
But I pray for someone reading this post today, in whatever way that the devil has blinded you from seeing that tiny speck of God’s goodness in your life, your eyes are opened from today in Jesus Name. No longer will you live under a lie from the pit of hell. Begin to walk in the light of God’s promises for your life, in Jesus name, Amen.
Psalm 107: 15 – 16 enjoins us to give thanks to God because He has broken the gates of brass and cut the bars of iron asunder. Whatever your own gates are made of, God is more than able to break them all. Gates of failure, gates of childlessness, gates of drug addiction, gates of fruitlessness. He is more than able.
So despite what you’re going through, pray for the grace to truly thank God for who He is. Even if you can’t thank Him for your life, thank Him for who He is. Remember, He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 3:16).
