If God calls you, He will enable you. When we are called, we begin to worry in God’s place. Let God do the worrying. All we need to do is answer. God knows we are not sufficient in ourselves. So if He has called us we should trust that He will give us everything we need to carry out His instructions. In Luke 12: 36 the Bible says, ‘Fear not little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom’. If God says this, I don’t think there’s anything we are worrying about that God can’t take care of.
God gives us according to our abilities and capabilities. God has called each and every one of us for a particular purpose. It is our duty to ensure that we function maximally in this purpose. We can only do this with the help of God. God’s help is readily available to us; the problem is we don’t ask for it. We want to do everything by our own strength. Forgetting that God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness. The Bible in 2 Corinthians 12: 9a says, ‘And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness’.
Another reason we may not be fully enabled to pursue God’s purpose for our lives is fear. 2 Timothy 1: 7 says, ‘For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind’. We feel less than the standard. We feel unqualified for the job. Truth is, if we were qualified we will not need Him. As long as you put your trust in God, those who don’t trust your plans are not to be minded. Ask God to help you see what He sees in you. You may be worth just 20,000 but to God your worth much more than that. The human mind really cannot comprehend that. Thus, the need for His help.
God has deposited something in you to your advantage. If you don’t use it, it’s going to just be there. If you use it, lives will be blessed and the Gospel will be propagated. 2 Corinthians 4: 1 says, ‘Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not’
