Have you ever felt like there was something worth fighting for in your life? Or, something that you wanted with all your might but didn’t know how to go about it? I’m a Christian, how can I get this thing without relying on my own physical abilities? It can be daunting at times, but it’s definitely not impossible. The Bible asks in Genesis 18:14,’Is there anything too hard for the Lord?’ but, a lot of the times, the bane of we Christians is that we want to play God in our lives.
I was reading a book recently, and a character in the book said she had a God-box. When she was worried about something and dint know how to go about them. She wrote them down on a paper and dropped them into the box. From that moment, they stopped being her problem and became God’s problems. Give God your problems today, beloved.
Knowing the weapons of our warfare are not physical but spiritual is very important in any battle you may be fighting as a Christian. Not only our personal battles, but also our battle for the kingdom. The Bible in Matthew 11:12 says, ‘Since the days of John the Baptist until now, the Kingdom of God suffereth violence and the violent taketh it by force.’ We are also implored in 1 Timothy 6:12 to fight the good fight of faith and thereby lay hold on eternal life.
The benefits of partaking in Kingdom battles are so immense. Not only is the fight unfair because we are assured of victory from the very beginning, we also have the most potent weapon capable of destroying all the devices of the devil, the Word of God. Our performance in these battles will determine our rank amongst the Heaven and the manner of our reward.
Finally, at the end of his ministry, Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 4:7 said, ‘I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.’ Will this be your story when it’s all over?
